COURSE ETIQUETTE
Customs of etiquette are just as important as the Rules
governing play; here are a few points plus 3 major areas that require your attention
to maximise everyone's enjoyment and reduce frustration:
-
Please be courteous to others with whom you share
the Course
-
Please preserve the Course and its environment by
repairing any damage
-
Please keep noise levels under control. NO MOBILE
PHONES.
-
Please endeavour to keep play moving smoothly at all
times
TEES
FAIRWAYS
-
Take the time to play your shots to the best of your
ability, but don't dawdle
-
Be prepared to call matches through at any time, or when
you lose a hole
-
Help speed of play by `spotting` each players
shots
-
Enter sand traps from the front, level the sand and
leave the rake IN the trap
-
Please remember the 5 minute ball search rule - but
don't delay the match behind !
GREENS
-
Try and leave your clubs in good position to exit
the green toward the next tee
-
Please repair any visible pitch marks and be
conscious of playing partners lines
-
Take care not to damage the greens with the
flagstick or excessive spike marks
-
Please don't delay exiting the green by marking
cards or practice putts
-
When attending the flagstick, be conscious of
shadows & spike marks near the cup
